FAQ
Q: What can your molds be used for?
A: They can be used for the following:
Melt & Pour Soap Wax
Low temperature resin
Plaster Cement
Q: Can they be used for food?
A: My Silicone molds are NOT food safe! There are too many chemicals in the silicone to be used with any food products such as chocolate, butter, etc.
Q: What temperature can the mold handle?
A: They can handle a temperature up to approximately 300F.
Q: Does the Silicone mold come with a wick hole?
A: My soap and candle molds do NOT come with a wick hole. This is something you have to do since placement of the wick hole is a personal choice. Wick holes are easy to do, just email me for basic directions.
Q: Im getting areas on the finished product that do not look complete, like they're missing a arm or leg?
A: Because you are pouring upside down, sometimes air gets trapped in the more intricate areas. All you need to do is fill the mold just above the problem area. Please be careful because your mixture will be hot, and just gently squeeze the outer mold in the area your having problems with. You should see tiny air bubbles come to the surface. Your squeezing the air out so the soap or wax will flow in. Fill the rest of the mold.
Q: Can I use your molds with Polymer Clay?
A: Im going to say no to this one because my molds are on the intricate side, to many nooks and crannies to where you wont he able to get the clay into, also Polymer clay needs to be baked, the molds should NOT be placed in a oven.
Q: How do I care for my molds when I am done using them?
A: Simply wash your molds out with soap and hot water, turn them upside down to dry. For storage of the molds, I recommend placing them in a Rubbermaid container. Also always keep silicone molds away from direct sunlight. This will cause them to fade and breakdown faster.
Q: How many times can I use your molds?
A: Quaility molds last a very long time, you should get hundreds of pours, if not more from just one mold. Treat your molds with respect and they will always perform for you.
